The Greek Islands remain the ideal yachting destination
The dwindling refugee influx is contained within a small area facing the
Turkish coast that affects just a few islands out of Greece’s six thousand.
As shown in the map, yellow highlighted islands are the only ones addressing
refugees' matters.
During the past 3 months refugee influx in Dodecanese has remarkably decreased
allowing the islands to get back on their usual track.
Locations marked in yellow, being frontier regions have never been traditional
yachting destinations.
As you can see on the map, borderlands such as Mytilene and Chios are stretched
in great radius from Cyclades and other popular Greek Yachting destinations.
Just to get a feel of distance in the Greek seas...
Mytilene is 415 nautical miles away from Corfu. Distance-wise this equals
going from New York City to Ohio (768 Km or 477 miles).
Mytilene is 181 nautical miles far from Santorini island, like going from
Munich to Milan (247 Km or 187 miles).
